Blastriker, a new hand tool developed by Evolmech—known for incorporating feedback from construction sites into its products—addresses these issues while ensuring surface preparation quality level Sa 2 1/2 equivalent to conventional blasting.
Its user-friendly design allows anyone to operate it easily, enabling fast and safe work progress.
It also offers excellent cost performance and is adaptable to a wide range of job sites.

By striking sharp blades against the work surface, it removes rust, paint, and mill scale while simultaneously creating surface roughness (fine irregularities), resulting in a clean steel surface ideal for coating.

Compared to conventional hand tools, the blade is eight times as durable and can be installed three times as fast,
allowing work to be performed efficiently.
In addition, Blastriker is made entirely of steel, making it easy to dispose of afteruse.
Simplification of Application
When treated with Blastriker, only the rust and the old paint film are dispoesd of as industrial waste. there is no need to install a large covering as with conventional blasting methods. The disporsal of dust is also reduced, minimizing the burden on the environment.

This product features a narrower width of 10 mm and a larger diameter of 95 mm compared to the Blastriker Life Max Metal.
It enables cleaning of corner areas on L-beams and H-beams, which are difficult to reach with the Life Max Metal. Additionally, this product is compatible with our Electric and Pneumatic tools.

In factories such as food processing plants and chemical plants where stainless steel is used instead of iron, it is recommended to use surface preparation with the same type of metal to prevent rust contamination from dissimilar metals.

PICUS
Blastriker PICUS is a blasting surface preparation tools specifically designed in narrow and deep environments. With a compact width, the PICUS features a 30mm ≈1.18 in. diameter and 70mm ≈ 2.75 in. length cylindrical body, equipped with heat-treated blades which is multiple and special shapes.
These blades expand outward due to centrifugal force and impact the surface, then retract within the diameter upon contact---achieving precise point-impact treatment on steel surfaces.
For instance, in bridge expansion joints where water stops are used, deterioration of the water stop function often leads to damage in Bridge bearings or the expansion joint structure itself.
By using PICUS, the steel surface can be finished to a blast-equivalent condition, enhancing adhesion performance for water stop materials beyond traditional repair methods.
This enables the restoration and reinforcement of water stop functions. Additionally, the PICUS simplifies work procedures and reduces overall repair costs, making it possible to plan more frequent and timely maintenance.
This contributes to the long-term preservation of bridge bearings systems.
The effectiveness of this tool lies in its ability to overcome the challenge of performing surface preparation of Sa 2 1/2 in extremely tight and deep gaps of bridge expansion joint.
